Certified by both NATO and the University of Sarajevo, this course is designed to equip participants with fundamental knowledge essential for comprehending the opportunities and challenges presented by media engagement in Peace Support Operations. It also aims to provide participants with the basic knowledge necessary to understand both the opportunities and challenges of the media presence in Peace Support Operations and to train necessary skills required to best utilize Public Affairs within operational process, ensuring unity of effort in the accomplishment of mission objectives. The course will host a total of 33 participants hailing from 15 different countries, including Albania, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Jordan, North Macedonia, Netherlands, Tunisia, and Qatar. Notably, among the participants are students from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Sarajevo.

This course forms one of the seven NATO-certified and four UN-certified programs offered at the Peace Support Operations Training Centre. In addition to faculty members from the Faculty of Political Sciences, the course will feature lecturers from various institutions and organizations as part of collaborative programs with PSOTC. These include the Canadian DA accredited to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Public Affairs Training Centre Germany, Public Affairs Regional Centre from North Macedonia, Multinational Training Center for Peace Support Operations from Greece, NATO Headquarters Sarajevo, EUFOR Command, Al-Jazeera Balkans, the Federal News Agency, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Media Information Center of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and members of PSOTC.
