The cost of accommodation depends on place of accommodation (camp or hotel). Participants will be advised separately as each course has different requirement depending on specific arrangements (sponsored, subsidized or own responsibility). PSOTC is providing accommodation for the students at the camp Butmir with single study bedrooms and common lavatory and showers. All necessary bedding is provided but toiletries and towels are not provided. The cost is 9 (nine) euros per day/per students.

Booking accommodation outside of the camp Butmir is possible. For convenience, PSOTC advises booking accommodation at Hoteli Ilidža, Hrasnička cesta 14, Sarajevo 71000. The hotel is about 6 km from the camp Butmir. PSOTC will organize daily transportation from/to camp Butmir.

Transportation from other locations will not be provided by PSOTC.

Accommodation at the Camp Butmir is calculated 9 Euros per night. The cost of the hotels outside of the Camp is on commercial basis.

Meals are available inside the Camp Butmir at the Dining Facility (DFAC) and two snack bars. Some restaurants are available in the vicinity of the Camp Butmir. Participants will be advised separately as each course has different requirement depending on specific arrangements (sponsored, subsidized or own responsibility). The cost of meals in DFAC is calculated 7.5 Euros per meal.

The “Chatham House Rule” of confidentiality is applied in PSOTC. The meaning to the participants is being explained at the beginning of the course. The participants of the course are invited to conduct an open discussion.

Access: Camp Butmir is run by elements of EU Forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina; therefore special procedures are in place in order to enter the Camp. It is mandatory to send a copy of the participant’s passport so that PSOTC can apply for his/her access card to Camp Butmir.

The copy of the passport should be scanned and sent out together with the online application form through the link provided. Please also note that access cards to Camp Butmir are needed for access to restaurant DFAC (lunch).

Within the camp, participants have to carry their passport/ID (the number of which has to be the same as the one provided to the PSOTC).

Laptops: Participants are not allowed to bring their personal laptops into the Camp. This is due to the Camp HQ EUFOR procedures and security regulations. However, PSOTC computers with internet access will be available in the syndicate rooms for the whole period of the Course duration.

Participants will be advised separately as each course has different requirement depending on specific arrangements (sponsored, subsidized or own responsibility).Organization of arrival to Sarajevo is responsibility of sending authority.

PSOTC will organize (if not specified differently at the administrative instructions) transportation from/to the Sarajevo airport or bus/train stations to the accommodation location.

PSOTC will organize daily transportation from/to Hotel Hollywood, Dr Mustafe Pintola 23, Ilidža 71210, to camp Butmir in accordance with course schedules. Transportation from other locations will not be provided by PSOTC and will be responsibility of the course participants.

Please note that the parking lot is provided in front of the Camp Butmir.

PSOTC does not cover any health care expenses. All participants are responsible for ensuring to be in possession of valid and adequate insurance (accident, repatriation, liability and health). Medical facility at the Camp as well as medical facility in Sarajevo are available for emergency purposes only.

In order to check the status of your respected country related to visa necessity, please refer to official website of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina concerning visa requirements for specific country. We advise you to take into account a period of time for processing visa request at least three weeks prior your arrival to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Working language is English. All documents will be published in English. Translation is available in some cases depending on the course arrangement with the partners.

The courses at the PSOTC are attended by various training audience including military, police and civilian participants. For each education and training activity the dress code will be introduced separately, making sure that all participants are clear on the standards of appearance/dress expected while at PSOTC. However, it is strictly forbidden to wear clothes that has a message, either in words or depicted graphically that insults or might offend others. Please note that the Dress Code applies equally to all PSOTC staff and students.
