The United Nations Police Officer Course is going to be conducted from 25th September to 6th October 2017 with participation of 23 police officers from different countries and police agencies, 19 from Bosnia and Herzegovina and 4 from abroad (Macedonia, Montenegro, Slovakia, and Serbia). As integration is in the focus of UN and in missions in general this iteration is merged with the United Nations Military Expert on Mission Course where 18 students in total, 13 from AF BiH and 5 international students (Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia) will have an opportunity to sit on the common lectures and share experiences with their police colleagues in period from 25th September to 13th October 2017. The aim of the courses is to prepare police officers for UN Integrated/Multidimensional Peacekeeping Operations, so they can work effectively with the outlined objectives of the United Nations Security Council Resolution’s mandate to turn capable police and military officers into competent peacekeepers. The Chief of Staff from PSOTC, LtC Zoran Batarilo, and on behalf of MoS BiH, Ms. Ankica Tomić, the Head of International Cooperation Department, addressed to participants on the opening ceremony. They emphasized importance of each individual course and in particular the importance of different mission components integration during the training process, as well before their deployments.
