UN Tactical Protection of Civilians Course started at PSOTC

Today, 11th September 2017 the UN Tactical Protection of Civilians Course started at PSOTC.

The course as one-week course is going to be conducted from 11th to 15th September 2017. Sixteen participants from different countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Georgia, Serbia, and the United Kingdom) are conducting the course. Besides PSOTC’s staff, experts from the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, the UN Woman – office in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the UK Armed Forces are supporting the course. The aim of the course is to familiarize participants deploying on UN PKO with the importance of Protection of Civilians (POC) for mission, increase awareness and provide a conceptual understanding of how to integrate other agencies’ efforts regarding POC and Prevention of Sexual Violence (PSV).
