The Chief of ITS, Policy Evaluation and Training Division, UN Departments of Peacekeeping Operations and Field Support, Mr. Mark Pedersen accompanied by the Head of the UN Office in Belgrade, Mr. Peter Due, the Head of UN Women in BiH, Ms. Anne-Marie Esper Larsen, the UN RCO Political and Peace and Development Advisor, Mr. Dennis Besedic, the UN RCO Coordination Assistant, Ms. Margherita Vismara, and UN RCO Peace and Development Assistant Dalila Sadinlija, has paid the visit to PSOTC on 30th September 2014.

On behalf of PSOTC, the Commandant, Colonel Jasmin Čajić welcomed the guests. During the visit, the guests were presented about different scopes of PSOTC achievements and plans focusing on officer’s and NCO’s functional courses, utility of gender and PSV, pre-deployment training, and possible ways of future developments. The main focus was given to roles of different UN agencies present in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region as well as UN DPKO in cooperation with PSOTC. The meeting was used to discuss on employing all resources in delivering PSO training and education events ensuring appropriate people, appropriate topics, as well as appropriate manner of delivering those topics. The meeting was used also to announce a visit of MoD of Bosnia and Herzegovina with representatives of PSOTC to UN DPKO in New York, USA. Mr. Mark Pedersen and Mr. Peter Due congratulated to PSOTC on its upward trajectory of development becoming one of the most internationally recognized centers. On the end of their visit, honored guests had an opportunity to see the facilities and training capacities which are at the Centre’s disposal.
