The Media Management in PSO Course is accredited by the Faculty of Political Science - University of Sarajevo in accordance with the Bologna process and brings a benefit to students with 6 ETCS as an elective subject in the first year of postgraduate studies of Journalism and Communications. Also, this course is certified as a part of the UN Certificate of Training in United Nations Peace Support Operations (COTIPSO) program. The course was conducted in cooperation with the Atlantic Initiative from Sarajevo and in support of the Public Affairs Regional Centre (PARC) from the Republic of Macedonia. The course was attended by 19 students from different countries and organizations both military and civilians: 5 students from abroad (Albania, Croatia, Macedonia and Serbia), 14 students from BiH (Armed Forces of BiH, Ministry of Security, EUFOR, and Universities from Sarajevo, Pale and Mostar). The students got knowledge in constant presence of the media as well as skills how to incorporate media into military planning processes, to improve communication skills and to build their confidence when giving statements/interviews to the media. The Closing ceremony of the course was emphasized by the presence of the NATO SACT Quality Assurance Team of Experts who had concrete opportunity to have an insight of the process in delivering the course to the very end.
