The Visit of UK Ambassador to PSOTC

Today, 18th September 2014 the PSOTC of Bosnia and Herzegovina has a special pleasure to host a visit of H.E. Mr. Edward de Poulten Ferguson, British Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina accompanied by LtC Paul Marshall, newly appointed British Defence Attaché, and ongoing British Defence Attaché, Col Robert Tomlinson

H.E. Mr. Ferguson was briefed by the Commandant, Colonel Jasmin Čajić, and his staff on recent developments and achievements at the PSOTC. This included detailed discussions on different aspects of the UK support to PSOTC with the focus on the PSOTC’s ground-breaking work on developing new training material for the prevention of sexual violence on peace support operations. In the course of the talks H.E. Mr. Ferguson and Colonel Čajić identified several areas where future cooperation and support between UK and Bosnia Herzegovina can flourish even more. At the end of his visit, H.E. Mr. Edward de Poulten Ferguson had an opportunity to see the facilities and training capacities which are at the Centre’s disposal. The visit was concluded with a brief stop in the PSOTC auditorium to observe the delivery of the first ever Prevention of Sexual Violence module.
