During the visit at PSOTC, LTC Hodžić Hazim, the Chief of the Education and Training Department, presented history and the overall achievements and results of the center. In addition, Col Jasmin Čajić, the PSOTC Commander, briefed the honored guest about current UK support to PSOTC. PSOTC used this opportunity to point at possible area of future cooperation and support from the UK government - attendance of UK students on PSOTC courses, sponsorship of students from region, and involvement of combined or exchange of MTTs. The United Kingdom FCO and the Ministry of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina (MOD) are dedicated to the utilization of PSOTC expertise as a platform to develop and deliver a Prevention of Sexual Violence (PSV) training programme. The Global Training Needs Analysis conducted by UN DPKO in 2012/13, identified that, “Understanding of gender and how to integrate it in one’s work as well as the application of zero-tolerance for sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA)” are cross cutting issues that should be addressed in the training for all peacekeeping personnel.
