The Closing Ceremony of United Nations Police Officers Course

For the last two weeks PSOTC has conducted UN accredited the UN Police Officers Course as the joint project between Ministry of Security BiH and Ministry of Defence BiH.

The course was integrated with the UN Military Observers Course which expressed full multiagency capacity in combining military and police component. The UN Police Officers Course fulfilled its aim and the course standards were met where all participants gained the knowledge which will help them as future peacekeepers. The UNPOC Closing ceremony was held on 12th October 2018 which was emphasized by the presence of the Director of Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mr. Mirsad Vilić, Head of Department for International Coordination Ministry of Security of BIH Ms Ankica Tomić, the TRADOC AF BiH Commander, Colonel Slaven Blavicki, PSOTC Chief of Staff, Odeta Tipurić, and PSOTC Chief of Training and Education Department, LTC Goran Stokić. As it was mentioned during the ceremony speeches, BiH has not only been the beneficiary and recipient of international civilian and military support, but also an active participant in the creation of international security with more than 15 years of peacekeeping mission experience. Altogether, 35 police officers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Estonia, Macedonia, Slovenia, and Serbia successfully finished the course. Besides of PSOTC staff and instructors from different police agencies from Bosnia and Herzegovina, contribution to the course deliverance was done by instructor from the Republic of Slovenia. In addition to all planned activities, Independent Inspector Darko Davidović, was declared as the best student on the course.
