PSOTC Welcomes Maryland National Guard Regional Training Institute Delegation

Sarajevo, 16 April 2026 – The Peace Support Operations Training Centre (PSOTC) hosted a distinguished delegation from the Maryland National Guard Regional Training Institute, led by Lieutenant Colonel Jess Green, reaffirming the long-standing partnership between the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Maryland National Guard.

The delegation was accompanied by representatives from the Office of Defence Cooperation of the U.S. Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the NATO Headquarters Sarajevo Command Sergeant Major, and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina Command Sergeant Major.

Colonel Damir Alibašić, Commandant of PSOTC, extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation and delivered a comprehensive briefing on the Centre’s mission and core activities. He highlighted PSOTC’s strong international reputation and its broad spectrum of education and training programs delivered in support of collective security operations. During the meeting, discussions focused on potential avenues for future collaboration, with particular emphasis on individual training opportunities for both non-commissioned officers and commissioned officers.

This visit represents a continuation of the long-standing partnership that has endured for more than two decades between the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Maryland National Guard, reflecting a shared commitment to professional military education and the continuous development of operational capabilities.
