The course is being attended by 30 members of the Albanian Armed Forces from all three components (Navy, Air Force and Land components), Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Interior. The course aim is to increase awareness and provide a conceptual understanding of gender issues in the security sector. It has a particular focus on Peace Support Operations (PSO) and how successful missions need to communicate with women in society they are tasked to protect and thus how it is essential that female soldiers, police officers, and civilian staff are involved in planning and conducting of operations. As a part of the course, MTT presented conceptual changes in security institutions, challenges and influences of corruption to PSO as well as understanding of gender perspective in building integrity. MTT members had an opportunity to meet BG Dedë Prenga where they discussed possibilities on further engagement of PSOTC MTT in 2016. BG Prenga used this opportunity to thank to PSOTC MTT on their engagement and efforts in training and education of the Albanian Armed Forces.
