PSOTC has been presented at Global Summit on Prevention of Sexual Violence

The delegation from the BiH Ministry of Defence and BiH Armed Forces Peace Support Operations Training Center (PSOTC), led by Deputy Minister Marina Pendeš, is attending a Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict in London from 10th to 13th June 2014.

On the second day of the Summit, PSOTC hosted a session to present its ongoing training efforts in the fight against impunity and prevention of sexual violence (PSV) in conflict. With the support of British Embassy Defence Section, PSOTC has been developing a PSV training module, which will become an integral part of existing residential as well as Mobile Training Team (MTT) courses offered to military, police officers and civil servants. The PSV module intends to increase understanding and skills of security peacekeeping personnel in applying zero – tolerance to sexual violence in the context of peace support operations.
