Press Conference on the Occasion of the 22nd IAPTC Annual Conference

Today 20th September 2016 the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina hosted Press Conference in the Hall of Armed Forces of BiH on the occasion of the 22nd Annual Conference of International Association of Peacekeeping Training Centers (IAPTC), which will take place in Sarajevo from 26 – 30 September 2016.

The conference was attended by Assistant Minister of Defense for International Cooperation Mr. Zoran Šajinović, also in a role of the Chairman of the Organizing committee of the 22^nd Annual Conference IAPTC and the Commandant of Peace Support Operations Training Centre (PSOTC) Colonel Dr. Jasmin Čajić, as well in a role of the Chairman of the Executive Committee for the organization and execution of the 22^nd IAPTC Annual Conference.

Mr. Zoran Šajinović presented importance of hosting the 22^nd IAPTC Annual Conference in Bosnia and Herzegovina. "Bearing in mind that every year IAPTC conference held on another continent, we can be proud that Bosnia and Herzegovina was chosen to host this year's conference, among all the other European countries. Training and executing peace support operations gain huge importance every day so this conference will provide an ideal opportunity to exchange experiences of all institutions and agencies which participate in peace support operations."- said Mr. Zoran Šajinović.
Colonel Dr. Jasmin Čajić noted that over 200 participants from 56 countries and from 125 different organizations and institutions involved in the training process and the execution of peace support operations in the World will participate in the 22^nd IAPTC Annual Conference. "It is an honor and privilege of the PSOTC to host such an event, which is the central annual activity of the International Association of Peacekeeping Training Centers (IAPTC)." - said Colonel Čajić.

Colonel Dr. Jasmin Čajić enhanced participation of all institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina in preparation period for the start of the 22^nd IAPTC Annual Conference. It was confirmed that the necessary security measures are taken for successful execution of 22nd IAPTC Annual Conference.

Opening ceremony of the 22^nd Annual Conference of the International Association of Peacekeeping Training Centers (IAPTC) will take place in the Parliament of BiH on Monday 26^th September 2016 at 09.00 am.
