NATO CIMIC Orientation Course Achieved the Goal

NATO CIMIC Orientation Course as the first training and education event organized in 2017 has been conducted at PSOTC from 20th to 24th February 2017.

14 participants from five countries as follows: 9 participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, 2 from Macedonia, 1 from Albania, 1 from Georgia, and 1 from Qatar gathered at PSOTC to attend NATO CIMIC Orientation Course with the aim to be enabled Officers / NCOs to conduct CIMIC activities at tactical level. The course covered CIMIC NATO doctrines and concepts, CIMIC capabilities and organizations and the civil-military dimension, including civilian organizations. PSOTC appreciates to external lectures from the US Army (Civil Military Support Elements), Turkish PfP Training Centre and EUFOR Headquarters in BiH in support to deliver the course on the highest level involving expertise and experience from different countries. As it was said during the closing ceremony held on 24th February 2017, competent personnel must be deployed to perform this critical task during missions and by this course opportunity and possibility were given to gain and improve necessary competences. The final conclusion is that the aim of the course is achieved.
