Multinational Staff Course Concludes at the Peace Support Operations Training Centre (PSOTC)

The Peace Support Operations Training Centre (PSOTC) of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AF BIH) proudly marked the conclusion of the Multinational Staff Course on 28 February 2025 during an official closing ceremony.

This three-week course is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of staff officers and non-commissioned officers (NCOs) operating at the tactical level. A total of twenty seven course students from AF BIH, Jordan, Germany, and North Macedonia, as well as from NATO HQ Sarajevo and EUFOR, completed the course program successfully.

Course students gained invaluable insights from a diverse array of contributors, including PSOTC staff and esteemed international guest instructors and lecturers from institutions such as the Slovak Armed Forces Academy (SVK AFA), the Romanian Crisis Management and Multinational Operations Department (CMMOD), the Italian Army Post Conflict Operations Study Centre (PCOSC), the NATO Security Force Assistance Centre of Excellence (SFA CoE), and EUFOR. This collaborative multinational effort aims to enhance interoperability and operational effectiveness among the participating nations and organizations, equipping staff officers and NCOs with key competencies for successful operations in multinational HQs.

During the closing ceremony, Brigadier General Dr. Jasmin Čajić, Deputy Commander for Operations of the Support Command of AF BIH, along with PSOTC Commandant Lieutenant Colonel Damir Alibašić, addressed the course students.

Brigadier General Dr. Jasmin Čajić emphasized the primary objective of the course: to enhance the competencies of staff officers and NCOs related to the tactical execution of land operations within multi-domain environments, in alignment with NATO standards. He also conveyed sincere appreciation to the international partners who provided invaluable support and expertise during the course. Furthemore, the importance of networkig among students and instrucors from different nations and organizations was highlighted by him.

Lieutenant Colonel Alibašić expressed his optimism that the skills acquired throughout the course would greatly benefit students in their forthcoming endeavors, particularly in tactical operations planning and encouraged them to continue refining their skills and knowledge.

The successful completion of this course represents a significant advancement in cultivating stronger cooperation, mutual understanding, and shared expertise between AF BIH and its international partners, thereby contributing to broader efforts at promoting peace and stability.
