Mr. Dragan Đurović, the Second Secretary, Embassy of Sweden in BIH Ms. Asa Trulsson, the Head of Political Department, Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), Ms. Stefana Greavu, and UNDP Justice and Security Sector Coordinator, Ms. Amela Ćosović Medić. The NATO certificated Gender Train the Trainers Course under the auspices of UNDP/SEESAC and the Nordic Centre for Gender in Military Operations (NCGM) was conducted in PSOTC from 5th to 13th March 2014.  There were 16 representatives from the ministries of defense and armed forces from the region: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia and Macedonia as well as 3 representatives of UNDP/SEESAC. This Gender Train the Trainers workshop offered a unique opportunity to gain knowledge and share best practices in the field of gender mainstreaming. It offered to participants a unique opportunity to participate in high level training events, panels and workshops on Gender and a chance to network with international experts, academia and practitioners. The major goal of the course was achieved with instructors and trainers now ready to plan and conduct pre-deployment training and education for troops, units and officers on the gender perspective in military operations. The course is an activity within the regional project - Gender Equality in the Military: Strengthening of Regional Cooperation on Gender Mainstreaming in Security Sector Reform in the Western Balkans, and is being implemented by UNDP/SEESAC.
