The main goal of the conference was to gather participants including prominent speakers from different countries as well as different organizations and agencies in order to assess and evaluate the participation of women in leadership roles in the security and policy-making sectors, to demonstrate and evaluate best practices and lessons learned regarding gender policies and awareness in order to develop meaningful strategic concepts and policies for the defense sector, to highlight the importance of gender-sensitive policies and approaches in the national security environment, and to advance networking.
The conference was attended by 49 participants from 11 countries, 2 from Albania, 24 from Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1 from Canada, 5 from Croatia, 2 from Germany, 1 from Lebanon, 3 from Montenegro, 4 from North Macedonia, 2 from Serbia, 3 from Slovenia, and 2 from USA. The representative of the George C. Marshall Center. Dr. Suzanne Loftus and the PSOTC Commandant, Col Edin Bajramović expressed their appreciation to the participants for their engagement making this conference as a total success. Col Bajramovic used this opportunity to appreciate to the staff of the George C. Marshall Center and PSOTC as well as NATO HQ Sarajevo Technical Support and Linguistic Service Section for their commitment in running the conference smoothly.
