This course aims to increase awareness and provide a conceptual understanding of gender issues in the security sector. It has a particular focus on Peace Support Operations (PSO) and how successful missions need to communicate with women in the society they are tasked to protect, and thus how it is essential that female soldiers, police officers, and civilian staff are involved in the planning and conduct of operations. The course is going to be delivered with direct support from NCGMO Sweden, Turkish PfP Training Center, Ministry of Security BIH and UK Embassy in BIH.
