Education about Conceptual Understanding of Gender in the Security Sector

Utility of Gender in PSO Course (UGPSO), as one of the NATO accredited courses run by PSOTC is going to be conducted from 23rd to 27th April 2018 with participation from different countries and institutions attending the course, 40 participants (9 participants from Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 5 from Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 7 from different universities from Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1 from EUFOR and 19 international students from UK, Ireland, Italy, Romania, Jordan, Morocco, Azerbaijan, Croatia and Montenegro).

The course aim is to provide participants with an understanding of applying gender perspective in the security sector and the importance of application of gender perspective on Peace Support Operations, as well as of Prevention Sexual Violence in Conflict. The course will be delivered  by direct support from the Atlantic Initiative Sarajevo, Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, US Embassy to Bosnia and Herzegovina (ODC) and UK Embassy to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
