The course aims are developing the skills and expertise of defence officials working in a multilateral environment (such as Defence Attachés) in the various aspects of international security; providing them with practical training in national and international procedures as well as other areas relevant for their future work; further enhancing personal skills to work in a multilateral and multicultural setting and promoting dialogue on defence and security issues. The delivery of these training modules is made with special reference to security issues related to the Balkans. 37 participants from seventeen countries (Albania, Bulgaria, Egypt, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Netherlands, Nigeria, Poland, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, USA and Bosnia and Herzegovina) gathered at PSOTC to attend the Defence Attaché Course. At the opening ceremony participants were addressed by PSOTC Commandant, Colonel Edin Bajramović, Chargée d’Affaires and Deputy Head, Embassy of Switzerland to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ms. Barbara Dätwyler Scheuer, and Senior Military Advisor, GCSP, MG Roland Favre.
