After two weeks, the Counterinsurgency Orientation Course has come to the end on 20th May 2016.

19 students from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Austria, Georgia, Jordan, Macedonia, Turkey, UAE and Ukraine successfully completed the course. The course was conducted with a combination of lectures, syndicate exercises and discussions. The aim of the course is to introduce key leaders and trainers to concepts and doctrine related to counterinsurgency operations in order to create a framework of understanding of the differences between counterinsurgency and conventional warfare and introduce COIN definitions and principles. Throughout the course, main focus was given on analyzing Operational Environment and Effects of the Environment, understanding Insurgency Nature, Strategies, and Fundamentals as well as COIN Fundamentals, COIN Operations and Planning Fundamentals for Operations in Counterinsurgency environment.
