20 students from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Jordan, Macedonia, Mongolia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine successfully completed the course. The course was conducted with a combination of lectures, syndicate exercises and discussions. Throughout the course, main focus was given on COIN operations in Afghanistan. Also, the course was good opportunity to discuss recently released COIN manuals: US FM 3-24 Insurgencies and Countering Insurgencies (May 2014) and NATO ATP-3.4.4.1 Guidance for the Application of Tactical Military Activities in COIN (February 2014).
