The course is designed to assist trainers and leaders with the doctrine, mindset, and methodologies of full spectrum counterinsurgency operations prior pre-deployment training. The aim of the course is to introduce key leaders and trainers to concepts and doctrine related to counterinsurgency operations in order to create a framework of understanding of the differences between counterinsurgency and conventional warfare and introduce COIN definitions and principles. 23 students on the Counterinsurgency Orientation Course are coming from: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Croatia, Jordan, Egypt, Macedonia, Serbia, Pakistan, Qatar, Kirgizstan, and Ukraine.
