Comment:
16 military members (8 from Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1 from Albania, 1 from Georgia, 1 from Serbia and 5 from the United Kingdom) were acknowledged by the course certificates as a proof of their knowledge acquired for the last five days. With this knowledge, they got basics in protections of civilians (POC) in mission. The course by itself is the mean to increase awareness and provide a conceptual understanding of how to integrate other agencies’ efforts regarding POC and Prevention of Sexual Violence (PSV). Besides PSOTC staff led by LtC Josef Liebminger (AUT-A), special thanks in supporting PSOTC in delivering this course go to external speakers: Inspector Maja Gačić, the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, Ms. Lejla Mamut, the UN Woman – office in BiH, SSG John Paul Braithwaite, the UK Armed Forces, and Ms. Ana Osborne and Mr. Charles Fomunyam, UN Mission MINUSCA. The course was concluded by the closing ceremony which was augmented by the presence of newly appointed the UK Defence Attaché to Bosnia and Herzegovina LtC Jonathan Williamson.
