Closing Ceremony of the UN Tactical Protection of Civilians Course

For the last week PSOTC conducted the UN Tactical Protection of Civilians Course. The UNPOC Closing ceremony was held on 23th September 2016 at Peace Support Operations Training Centre (PSOTC)

The UN Tactical Protection of Civilians Course fulfilled its aim and the course standards were met where all participants gained the knowledge which will help them in the future peacekeeping mission. The aim of the course is to familiarize participants deploying on UN PKO with the importance of Protection of Civilians (POC) for mission, increase awareness and provide a conceptual understanding of how to integrate other agencies’ efforts regarding POC and Prevention of Sexual Violence (PSV). The UNTPOCC Closing ceremony was held on 23th September 2016 which was magnified by the presence of the BG Albert Safar, EUFOR Chief of Staff, MG Husein Tursunović, AF BiH Support Command Commander, Col Ilija Petrović, AF BiH TRADOC Commander, MAJ Alexander Kovacs, COM EUFOR Office Manager, and WO1 Tibor Bojtos, EUFOR HQ CSM. All together, 24 students from different countries (BiH, Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Georgia, Macedonia, Turkey, UK, and Ukraine) successfully finished the course. On the graduation ceremony, students were addressed by the PSOTC Commandant, Colonel dr. Jasmin Čajić and Major General Husein Tursunović, AF BiH Support Command Commander who congratulated them and wished them luck in their future work.
