The ceremony was preceded by the conference "Friends of PSOTC", which was organized by the MoD BiH at the Home of the AF BiH. Conference was attended by representatives of 15 countries, who declared their level of ambiguous to the Centre in the future.
The main objective of this project, which was implemented in the period of 2011-2013 by the CSS under the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway, is to strengthen the capacity of PSOTC, in order to successfully pass the transitional period from the International Centre, to the fully integrated into the Armed Forces of BiH.
The content of the project was focused on developing the capacity of PSOTC through support, implementation and accreditation of courses related to Euro-Atlantic security with a focus on EU security and defense policy (2 courses), and the Rule of law within the modules of the course for the UN police (2 courses). In addition to these planned activities, thanks to the partners, the CSS was able to organize an additional seminar on Euro-Atlantic security for the general's corps of the Armed Forces of BiH with the composition seminar on the reform of the security sector for the experts in this field in the region of the Western Balkans.
Guests of the Ceremony were addressed by the Deputy Minister of Defense for Policy and Plans Mrs. Marina Pendeš, Ambassador of Norway in BiH, HE Vibeke Lilloe, PSOTC Commandant Colonel Jasmin Čajić and Director of the Center for Security Studies Denis Hadžović.
It was pointed out that PSOTC as a NATO partnership training and education center, handed over to BiH Armed Forces is recognized as a center of excellence, and that PSOTC has demonstrated as a regional leader for education and training in PSO. Continuous development of the Center is proof that its mission demonstrates its commitment for continued cooperation with partners, both regional and international region.
