The aim of the course is to provide the key personnel from tactical HQs deploying on UN peace operations with a framework for understanding the impact of Protection of Civilians (POC), Child Protection, and Conflict-Related Sexual Violence (CRSV) on the tactical planning level within UN Peacekeeping, and how to integrate military and other agencies ‘protection efforts in multidimensional UN peace operations. All in total 29 students, 18 from the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1 from Ministry of Security BIH, 1 student from US ODC, and 9 international students (1 from ALB, 1 from ARM, 1 from JOR, 1 from MKD, 1 from NLD, 1 from SRB, 2 from SVN and 1 from TUR) are attending the course. In addition, this is the first time that members of Balkan Medical Task Forces (BMTF) participate in the courses held by the PSOTC and we are sure this will be the start of a very good cooperation between the BMTF and PSOTC.
