The Peace Support Operations Training Centre (PSOTC) of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AF BiH) hosted the sixth NATO Education, Training, Exercises and Evaluation (ETEE) Annual Discipline Conference (ADC) 2026 from 28 to 30 April 2026.
The conference was officially opened with welcome remarks jointly delivered by the EUFOR Commander, Major General Maurizio Fronda, and the Deputy Commander for Operations of the AF BiH Support Command, Brigadier General Dr. Jasmin Čajić. In their addresses, they welcomed participants and emphasized the importance of continued cooperation and cohesion within the ETEE discipline. Both speakers highlighted education and training as key enablers of interoperability, readiness, and operational effectiveness across NATO and partner nations.
The ETEE discipline is one of NATO’s largest and most diverse, encompassing 18 functional areas. Its community of interest includes multiple Requirement Authorities, a broad range of Subject Matter Expert (SME) representatives, and an extensive network of NATO and partner education and training providers. As the appointed Department Head, the NATO School Oberammergau (NSO) plays a central role in coordinating the discipline’s activities. Conducted in line with the NATO Global Programming battle rhythm, the ETEE Annual Discipline Conference (ADC) is a core annual NATO event designed to review and update education and training (E&T) requirements, ensure alignment with evolving operational needs, and coordinate SME support across the discipline.
Throughout the conference, 35 participants reviewed existing NATO education and training (E&T) requirements, evaluated the adequacy of current programmes, identified capability gaps, and discussed ways ahead for the further development of education and training solutions. Particular emphasis was placed on maintaining agility, adaptability, relevance, and resilience to ensure continued responsiveness to the rapidly evolving security environment.
By hosting this important NATO ETEE discipline event, PSOTC once again demonstrated its strong commitment to supporting NATO objectives, enhancing multinational cooperation, and contributing to the continuous improvement of education and training in support of operations and broader international security efforts.
