Statement

To deliver internationally approved education and training in multinational peace support and humanitarian operations to selected junior officers of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AFBiH), with international participation.

Objectives

To learn, absorb and contribute to the development of internationally recognised and endorsed Peace Support Doctrine.

To instil the best practices of command and staff roles in order to develop officers capable of taking a full and productive place on multinational Peace Support Operations whilst able to operate in English as well as their own language.

To enhance the development of a common doctrine, understanding and shared values within the AFBiH for mutual benefit.

Providing the benefits of

Preparation for participation in multinational operations other than war (OOTW) under UN, NATO or EU command.

Making progress towards integration of the AFBiH into the European security environment and PfP.

Preparing and educating young officers of the AFBiH in meeting their country’s security needs and inculcate those skills needed to together deliver armed forces of the size and capability in order to meet those needs.

The development of junior officers in a productive learning environment encouraging mutual understanding and lasting professional bonds internally, nationally and internationally and addressing an identified capability.

The development of a college with an international reputation for the study of excellence in peace support operations and related subjects which is also a funded resource of significant potential to BiH.

A significant infrastructure investment in BiH with real growth potential.
