Senior Staff Officers Seminar

Purpose

The purpose of the seminar is to provide a professional development programme for the General Officers leadership of the AFBiH.

Duration

The Seminar is split up in three sessions as follows:

The 12th to 13th September 2005

The 23rd to 25th January 2006 and

The 03rd to 05th April 2006

Participants

25 Generals and Colonels form the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina

BiH Disaster Management Seminar 2006

Purpose

To study and discus aspects of disaster management related to disaster treats in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the benefit of the cooperation between authorities at governmental and local level.

Duration and Place

The 12th to 14th December 2006 at Peace Support Operation Training Centre, BiH in Camp Butmir.

Method

A mixture between Key Note Speakers from International Organisation and Agencies - lectures- plenum discussions - syndicate discussions.

Participants

Up to 40 key persons from Administration, Organisation and Agencies on Governmental, Entity or Local level; covering:

• Members of the Military Comities of Parliament
• Ministry of Defence (State and entity level)
• Ministry of Security (State and entity level)
• Ministry of Civilian Affairs (State and entity level)
• Military Headquarters (State and entity level)
• Ministry of Internal Affairs (Entity level)
• Centre for Public Safety (Local level)
• Civil Defence Agencies
• Public Health Departments
• Fire Departments
• Metrology Service
• Seismology Service
• Members of the Observer and Information Corps
