PSOJSC 1/10 which started on Monday opened with International Humanitarian Law (IHL) as its first module on a 16-week course. The aim of the module was to make the students understand their obligations under IHL in order to ensure that the planning and conduct of operations are in accordance with the provisions of IHL. It was a two-day module which represents the basis of every other lecture and is a constituent part of each and every exercise on the course. The module was delivered by the PSOTC Directing Staff who had been trained and certified by ICRC and at the end of course the students will receive the ICRC certificates as well. |
