International Humanitarian Law Module Print E-mail

PSOJSC 1/10 which started on Monday opened with International Humanitarian Law (IHL) as its first module on a 16-week course. The aim of the module was to make the students understand their obligations under IHL in order to ensure that the planning and conduct of operations are in accordance with the provisions of IHL. It was a two-day module which represents the basis of every other lecture and is a constituent part of each and every exercise on the course.

The module was delivered by the PSOTC Directing Staff who had been trained and certified by ICRC and at the end of course the students will receive the ICRC certificates as well.

Danish Brigadier General Michael Lollesgaard last week put his finger on a sensitive spot in the fabric of multinational coalition operations: the different languages we speak are a bottleneck for combined operations. He made his comment during the panel discussion that opened the ITEC simulation and training conference in Cologne, Germany.

Visit of COM NATO HQ SARAJEVO and former PSOTC Commandant Print E-mail

On 1st July 2010 and Brigadier General David Enyeart COM NATO HQ SARAJEVO and  former PSOTC Commandant, made a formal office call on COM EUFOR, Major General Bernhard Bair. This was a very important meeting for COM EUFOR and the Brigadier General Michael LOLLESGAARD.
